HIDDEN FOCUS

2026 TV-PG 1h 49m
Children Self improvement Talk

Hidden Focus explores the realities of living with ADHD—what it is, how it shapes everyday life, and why so many people remain misunderstood or undiagnosed. Centering Black experiences while examining ADHD broadly, the documentary brings together lived experience and accessible insight to challenge the myths that reduce a complex condition to laziness, poor discipline, or a lack of effort. It reveals the distance between what others see and what a person is actually experiencing. The film examines how race and stigma influence whether those struggles are recognized or dismissed—and the emotional weight of having unseen difficulties mistaken for attitude, failure, or indifference. By bringing overlooked perspectives into focus, Hidden Focus challenges audiences to reconsider familiar assumptions and recognize the humanity behind a misunderstood diagnosis. At its heart, the film is about more than understanding ADHD. It is about understanding the people living with it.
